Jigouku Shoujo currently has 2 seasons with 26 episodes each.
Genre: Horror, Supernatural
Summary:
Enma Ai, the hell girl, exacts revenge for people accessing the hotline to hell. Vengeance cannot be completed until the red string is removed from the straw doll Ai gives. The antagonist, whether he might be good or bad, is immediately sent to hell, however ,in replacement, the soul of the one who accesed the hotline will end up in hell also. Well, it is only after he/she dies.

1. Air Hockey – this arcade game is good for everyone. It could be a nice game for the family especially siblings, or for a couple in a date, or for rival friends competing each other. This could be even a very good stress-killer but be careful though; the puck might fly and really hurts when it is smashed.

2. Basketball Shootout – what makes this game great is because you don’t have to rebound or pick-up balls. All you need to do is to shoot that ball. Competition is another good thing for this game. Don’t you think that basketball is also fun by just shooting?

3. Car Racing – Driving using a controller is fine but having a steering wheel, clutch, and pedals is another story. You only enjoy racing games to the max if you drive. The good thing about car racing games today is that you could save your progress and upgrade your car. Games such as Initial D and The Fast and The Furious are examples.

4. Shooting Games – first-person shooters and third-person shooters still has nothing to say against real-person shooters. Whether it is a sniper, or an assault rifle, or just a handgun, shooting games are so much fun! With some application of the latest technologies, laser sensors have been included in some shooting games in which your evasion will rely on your movement. That is really cool!!! The problem with shooting games is it is very tiring after some time.

5. TEKKEN arcade game – any arcade fighting game would do but in this country it is the greatest fighting game. I know that you could play this game in a console but playing it with a joystick and big buttons is more fun I think. You could also be famous because of this and you’ll get to challenge a lot of people (that is unless you’re so damn good that no one would fight you anymore). I really like the concept of winning to play more.

What about Animax?

Primarily, I will be talking about Ouran High School Host club in this post.

Ratings: 4.5 stars

Well, if you want your life to be spiced up. Why not watch this. I also recommend this anime to all teens out there.

What about Ouran?

Other countries has already released Ouran in their animax. They even finished the series already. And how about our animax? Well, Majority of the Filipinos don’t know about this anime. Mainly because:

-It is not yet released in Our Animax or Hero
-Even so, cable connection cannot is expensive for some.

I already finished the series by downloading it somewhere. It is really good to watch!

1. The next-gen Consoles – perhaps it is still too early to speculate but these things might just make arcades extinct. I am really amazed with the third generation consoles (PS3, XBOX 360, & Wii). It is the first time that I want to own each one of them. Nintendo Wii stuck me the most because of its capabilities to make games very near to reality. This could be a really big threat for arcades.

2. Lack of Innovation – there hasn’t been much huge change in arcades for along time. Maybe some variations of other arcade games make things a little different. But still, the arcade isn’t as much successful because of nothing being new. Putting a virtual reality game would make a HUGE difference and will single-handedly save the arcades.

3. The Rise of Network & Online Gaming – Since there have been so much Internet cafes nowadays here in the Philippines, I presume that most of the people playing arcade now hangout in the computer rentals. Actually, I have a proof of this. There is a mall that has a big internet cafe and across it is also a big arcade; I estimated that there are twice as many people in the internet café than in the arcade. The reason for this is maybe because it is cheaper. Most arcade games last only a few minutes while computer rentals have a minimum of half an hour. Another thing is because there are lots of people involve which is really cool for us. We Filipinos love team games. We really love online games because there a community of gamers where there are helping and trading and joining parties and so much more. The Internet café is now my favorite place. The problem here in the Philippines is that we still majority lack the connectivity of to the flat world. That is why Internet cafes are such a hit in this country.

I may sound premature but again, with the technology we have today, what would still make us go to the arcades and play?

1. Video games are a waste of time.
- I strongly disagree and I have two reasons why. First, playing video games is really fun! I’m actually a loner and sometimes, I enjoy more playing with my PS2 than hanging out with my friends. I’d rather own a PS3 first than having a girlfriend. Secondly, there are many video games that also educates. Some games show history in it and others maximize the player’s logic. Video games improve the player’s reflexes, too.

2. Video games aren’t my money’s worth.
- No way! Video games are supposed to be every cent worth of it. Video games takes a lot of effort to make and it is created for us to enjoy. If you think that the video game is too expensive, wait until the price goes down.

3. Video games are too violent.
- Sometimes the games being violent actually show the reality in this world which is actually good. It might really show what it is like in this world. For example, a video game that is about war obviously has a lot of bloodshed which is true when there is really a war. If you still think they are too violent, refrain from this game and buy non-violent ones or some games have a special feature that lessen its violence.

4. Video games have bad influences.
- Video games are now one of the most influential things in the world joining the TV, radio, literatures, and the Internet. They strongly influence people that they even do it in reality even if they are bad. Like a gun shooting incident in the U.S. because he played GTA. I think it is in the responsibility of the parent to monitor what their children are playing. The ESRB rating will help us because it tells what the proper age for the game is. I believe that video games are supposed to be simulators. Instead of killing in the real world, you could annihilate an army in a FPS (first-person shooter) game. But I guess they’re now more of teachers. We must not let the children play on their own now since the world less morality and now even sex is more compromise in video games.

5. Video games are addictive.
- I’ve been a victim but I get easily bored that’s why I gotten out of it. Again, it is the parent’s responsibility to regulate their children’s playing time. There are two options. One is to wait until they get bored. Another is to discipline. Of you’re having a hard time, don’t worry, some of the mental hospitals already accept this kind of cases. Remember that too much of one thing is bad.

1. PBA Live – the 2003 mod was a fabulous idea but I wonder why it has stopped since it was a great success. This game could not be successful internationally but it might be one of the best local games ever! You know how much we love the game of basketball! Since there are only a few teams in the PBA, we might as well include the PBL and possibly even the UAAP and NCAA. I also hope that there would be patch to update the roster.

2. Jeepney Driver – this could be our first local racing game. It would be cool driving the only vehicle here in the Philippines. Mods wouldn’t be a problem since there is a lot add to beautify a jeepney from paintings to the horses attached on the hood of the vehicle. It would also be nice to avoid cops and MMDA. The downside is that you can’t race in Manila because it is traffic.

3. The Mall – you started as a mall janitor then promoted to become a security guard and you work until you become the owner of the mall. There are a lot of quest to be done and there are stat and skill points. It is like a mixture of a little bit of GTA (since it’s free roaming) and the Sims. Isn’t a mall a nice setting for a video game? Hopefully, the mall could be as big as the MoA.

4. Tribal Wars – travel back in time when the Philippines are ruled by Datus and Sultans. There are gods, agriculture, hunting, barter (trade), boats, witchcraft, wars, and so much pre-colonial Philippine culture in it. This game would not just be fun but will also show the world what our country was before Spain conquered us. This could be a good MMORPG.

5. The Politician – I guess our government being corrupt wasn’t that bad at all. This will be the GTA Philippines. You are Juan de la Cruz, a striving person to be in the government. You know that you can’t do it cleanly so you must take advantage of every opportunity that comes. You will bribe the cops, assassinate VIPs, cheat in the election, exploit the black market, smuggle illegal imported products such as marijuana, steal some of the tax, and most of all kick PGMA’s ass! Sounds cool eh?
